Loan Pricing Corporation's Secondary Market Intelligence Tool Offers New Personalized Portfolio Enhancements
NEW YORK, September 18, 2003 - Loan Pricing Corporation (LPC) today announced the addition of portfolio personalization enhancements to its Secondary Market Intelligence (SMi)ä tool for the secondary loan market. The new SMi 1.5 Portfolio Edition enables buy and sell-side professionals to view and analyze up-to-the-minute information that is specific to their loan holdings, helping them to make better informed buy/sell/hold decisions. The product solution draws from several information sources, including LSTA/LPC Mark-to-Market Pricing, providing users with access to state-of-the-art analytics, breaking news, deal terms and conditions, and pricing information, right at their desktops.

The SMi Portfolio Edition features a personalized Portfolio Homepage that provides bid performance information by industry and rating, average bid market charts, recent actions, and daily movers. The Portfolio Bid Highlights section of SMi allows users to focus on the market's biggest movers, most active TLBs, most recent deals to market as well as the most widely bid loans. With the Portfolio Databank, managers and analysts can identify portfolio performance changes and isolate key drivers behind the performance. Furthermore, new Databank analysis is available for the investment grade and unrated markets as well as the utilities industry.

The Portfolio Detail Page, enables users to view their entire loan market portfolio online and customize its layout with over 30 different data categories and 10 customizable search fields. In addition to tracking events in the market, fund managers can track news and analytics for their specific loan holdings.

"Portfolio managers want the ability to not only monitor the overall market, but also apply incoming information to their specific portfolio. With a large number of holdings, and an inundation of data coming in, this is becoming increasingly difficult to track." said Michele Kelsey, Senior Vice President at LPC. "Attribution of portfolio performance to specific drivers, and the ability to benchmark based on personalized holdings, makes this a powerful workflow tool."

Additional enhancements to SMi include:
  • iQuery - LPC's advanced portfolio charting tool for graphically viewing and analyzing data, now offers a one step download capability.

  • Enhanced relative value analysis tools.

  • Expanded industry and ratings information including Investment Grade, Unrated and Utilities sectors.

  • Company information pages include dealer information, LINs, number of quotes and the underlying quote providers.
